A Dealers' Room will be open during LCC, featuring all types of books available for purchase: old, new, collectible, and from American, Canadian, and English sources. This room will be open to the public Friday-Sunday. List of dealers coming to LCC WEDNESDAY Registration: 4-7 PM THURSDAY Registration: 9 AM-6 PM Book Dealers' Room Hours: Noon-6 PM Silent Auction: Bid today from 8 AM-5 PM in the Convention Administrative Room, Bonsai III. Highest Bidders will be listed outside of Bonsai III on Sunday morning at 9 AM; winnings can be picked up at that time. Programming: 1-5 PM. Thursday Program Schedule Open House at the Monterey Aquarium: 7:30-10 PM. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served, and bus transportation will be provided (the first buses will leave at 7 PM, and every 15 minutes thereafter). You may also walk or drive to the aquarium; it is approx. 1.5 miles from the hotel. Click here for directions. The Aquarium's web site has information on parking in the area.

A chance to meet many of the authors attending, get all the books signed that you buy or brought with you while listening to the sounds of Bill Moody and his jazz band. Light buffet will be served. List of Authors Signing at the Round Robin Event Wine Tasting: 8-10 PM. "Dying on the Vine" is our Mysterious Monterey Wine Tasting event! Taste a variety of Monterey wines while learning about tasting techniques and terms, how smell and taste are integral to the enjoyment of wine, the proper way to serve wine and what types of wine glasses are appropriate for certain wines. Presentation of the guests of honor and the Lefty and Otter Awards. Open to registrants only.
MWA Reception: 6:30-8 PM. The Northern California Branch of Mystery Writers of America invites MWA members and guests to the MWA reception in DeAnza 1. No-host bar and munchies. Film Noir Event at the Steinbeck Auditorium: 8-10 PM. Presented by Eddie Muller, the author of The Distance, Art of Noir, Dark City and Dark City Dames. He has presented noir film festivals at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles, and in 2003 inaugurated the first annual Film Noir Festival at the Castro Theater in San Francisco. No-Host cocktail reception 7-8 PM preceding the program. Free to participants; $25 per non-registrant. SUNDAY Business Meeting: There will be a LCC Business meeting on Sunday morning. The site will be announced at the convention in our daily news update. Registration: 9-11 AM Book Dealers' Room Hours: 10 AM-2 PM Silent Auction: Highest Bidders will be listed outside of Bonsai III on Sunday morning at 9 AM; winnings can be picked up at that time. Programming: 9 AM-1 PM. Sunday Program Schedule Sisters in Crime Writers' Track: Presented by the Northern California Chapter of SinC. Costs for the informative workshops are included in the registration fee for Left Coast Crime.
Other social events are in the process of being planned. Breakfast will be provided on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. The Hospitality Room will be open Thursday through Sunday evening.
